West-supply’s Killer Cruiser
Over the past few months, the good folks at West Supply embarked on a quest to restore their beloved 60 Series Cruiser to her former glory. Their dream rig had been on the road for 35 years and in just 4 weeks, the team brought this phoenix out of the ashes in time for Fieldays 2021.
The first big concern was the underside of the truck, spending 35 years in all sorts of terrain had certainly taken it’s toll. The old girl had been blasted bare, covered in zinc aluminium, then finishing in black epoxy with all seams and inner rails cavity waxed. The result is better than what she looked like 35 years ago when she first roamed the streets of Japan.
Getting closer to Fieldays, the team got to fitting her with new gadgets and knick-knacks. With new bar work fitted, suspension fitted, new roof platform complete with a Feldon Shelter tent, gull wing windows and the ultimate boot set up for anything and everything you wish to bring with you, the final touches were a set of our very own Toyo Open Country M/Ts.
The Toyo Open Country M/T is legendary for its performance off road and extensive durability. Coming in LT315/75 R16 the M/Ts work hard when greeted by any and all terrains. With a choice like this for the revived West Supply Cruiser, it’s safe to say there’s more than enough life in her to tackle the elements.
